Parker Metal Finishing has been plating zinc in Greensboro since 1980. That is more than forty years of doing one thing, on purpose, without ever getting bored of it. We do not anodize, and we do not powder coat. We do not have a side hustle. We plate zinc, and after forty years we are extremely good at the only thing we do.
It is a family business, and the trade has been handed down through the generations, which means the people reading the bath today learned it from the people who built the place. That kind of knowledge does not come out of a manual. It comes from standing at a tank for years and watching what the work actually does.
While most of the industry automated to chase volume, we kept a person at the controls. Our platers call current, time, and chromate by what they see, and a trained eye catches trouble before it ever reaches your floor. It is the reason shops across North Carolina and the Southeast keep sending us their sensitive parts and the jobs that have to come back right.
Forty years in, the expertise has only sharpened and the reputation has only grown with it. The one thing that has not changed is the Friday thing. We are still closed. Some traditions are sacred.
