Barrel plating is our answer to volume. When you have a huge count of small parts, screws, nuts, stampings, clips, little formed pieces, you do not want anyone hanging each one on a hook by hand. You want them loaded into a barrel where they tumble together, bump shoulders, and pick up an even coat of zinc as they roll. It is efficient, the coverage comes out consistent, and the price lands somewhere a purchasing manager can live with.
The tumbling is the whole trick. As the parts turn over each other, every surface gets its turn facing the current, so coverage comes out uniform without anybody babysitting individual pieces. Threads stay clean. The parts come back looking like they all went to the same finishing school, because they did.
Barrel is the right call when a part can take a little contact and you have a lot of them. If a part is large, delicate, or needs to look flawless, that is a job for our rack line, and we will say so. We are not about to toss your show-surface bracket in a barrel and shrug.
